Expression, that elusive, beautiful thing that is so much a part of our dogs, is formed mainly by the eyes; the expression must be alert, but kind and intelligent. When a Boston Terrier is showing on the block and you look down into his face, you want to see an expression shining from his eyes that says in a very polite dog language - "gosh, how I love you, but for the love of Mike, give a nibble of that piece of liver."
